Du willst den Schwarzwald kennenlernen, gehst gerne in einer kleinen Gruppe wandern, auch im Winter, und hast Lust, andere internationale Studierende am KIT kennenzulernen? Dann bist du hier genau richtig!
Dieser Kurs richtet sich an alle internationalen Studierenden und Mitglieder des Internationalen Buddy-Programms sowie an alle internationalen Studierenden der KIT-Fakultät Chemieingenieurwesen und Verfahrenstechnik.
Einführung
Was erwartet dich in diesem Sportkurs, was brauchst du an Equipment und wo genau gehen wir eigentlich wandern?
In dieser Einführungsveranstaltung geht es u.a. um diese 3 Fragen.

In der Einführungsveranstaltung kannst du dich entscheiden, ob du am Workshop und an den Wanderungen teilnehmen willst. Die Buchung erfolgt über ein Passwort. Das Passwort erhältst du bei der Einführungsveranstaltung.
Die Einführungsveranstaltung ist Voraussetzung für den Workshop und die 3 Wanderungen.

Wenn du noch kein Buddy bist, musst du dich erst als Buddy registrieren. Das geht aber schnell und ist mit keinerlei Verpflichtungen verbunden. Danach kannst du dich für die Einführung anmelden.
Workshop BlackForest – that’s why you have to visit it!
In diesem interaktiven Workshop kommt ihr dem Schwarzwald näher. Es geht u.a. um Traditionen – typische Gerichte, Waren und Trachten u.a. – Flora und Fauna, das Klima und um die Geschichte des Tourismus. Der Workshop ist eine kulturelle Ergänzung zu den drei Wanderungen im Schwarzwald.

3 Wanderungen im Schwarzwald
Geplant sind drei 8 bis 10km lange Tageswanderungen, wir werden also ca. 3 bis 4 Stunden unterwegs sein (+ Hin- und Rückfahrt). Je nach Möglichkeit und Lust und Laune können wir unterwegs oder am Ende einer Wanderung auch einkehren und je nach Wetter dauert eine Wanderung mal etwas kürzer oder etwas länger. Bei sehr schlechtem Wetter wird eine Wanderung auch mal ganz abgesagt. Für diesen Fall gibt es einen Ersatztermin. Den Einstieg der jeweiligen Tour erreichen wir per Bus und Bahn und per Semesterticket, evtl. muss für wenige Euro ein Ergänzungsticket gekauft werden. Start ist jeweils zwischen 8.30 und 9.30 Uhr.
Termine: Fr. 24.05. ab 14:00 Uhr, So. 14.07. ganztags, So. 28.07. ganztags
Für die Wanderungen wirst du folgende Ausrüstung unbedingt brauchen: Eingelaufene und knöchelhohe Wanderschuhe mit gutem Profil und Regenschutz. Mehr Informationen gibt es bei der Einführungsveranstaltung.
Letzter Hinweis zur Organisation der Wanderungen:
Für den Wanderkurs erstelle ich eine WhatsApp-Gruppe. Ein paar Tage vor der jeweiligen Wanderung schicke ich dann eine Nachricht in die Gruppe und stelle alle Infos zur Tour (Abfahrtszeit und -ort, Streckenlänge und Schwierigkeitsgrad) rein. Mehr dazu erfahrt ihr in der Begrüßungsmail zu Beginn des Semesters.
@Nachrückende Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmer: Bitte schickt mir zeitnah eine Mail (Kontakt siehe unten) und schreibt eure Handynummer dazu, ich füge euch dann zur WhatsApp-Gruppe hinzu. Ich selbst kann keinen Kontakt zu euch aufnehmen, ich sehe auf der Teilnehmerliste weder Mailadresse noch Handynummer der Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmer.

"Put on your hiking boots and come out into nature with me!"
You want to get to know the Black Forest, enjoy hiking in a small group, even in winter, and want to get to know other international students at KIT? Then this is the right place for you!
This course is aimed at all international students and members of the International Buddy Program as well as all international students of the KIT Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Process Engineering.
Introduction
What can you expect in this sports course, what equipment do you need and where exactly do we actually go hiking?
This introductory session will deal with these 3 questions, among others.

In the introductory event you can decide whether you want to participate in the workshop and the hikes. The booking is made via a password. You will receive the password at the introductory event.
The introductory event is a prerequisite for the workshop and the 3 hikes.

If you are not yet a buddy, you must first register as a buddy. But that's quick and there are no obligations. Then you can register for the introduction.

In this interactive workshop you will get closer to the Black Forest. The topics include traditions - typical dishes, goods and traditional costumes, etc. - flora and fauna, the climate and the history of tourism. The workshop is a cultural supplement to the three walks in the Black Forest.

3 Hikes in the Black Forest
Three 8 to 10 km long day hikes are planned, so we will be on the move for about 3 to 4 hours (+ outward and return journey). Depending on the possibility and the mood, we can also stop for a bite to eat on the way or at the end of a hike, and depending on the weather, a hike can be a little shorter or a little longer. In the event of very bad weather, a hike may be cancelled altogether. In this case there will be an alternative date. The start of each tour can be reached by bus and train and with the semester ticket; a supplementary ticket may have to be purchased for a few euros. The tour starts between 8.30 and 9.30 am.
Dates: Friday, 25.05. from 2 p.m., Sunday, 14.07. all day, Sunday, 28.07. all day
You will need the following equipment for the hikes: Well-soled and ankle-high hiking boots with a good tread and rain protection. More information is available at the introductory meeting.
Last note on the organisation of the hikes:
I will create a WhatsApp group for the hiking course. A few days before the respective hike, I will send a message to the group and post all the information about the hike (departure time and place, route length and level of difficulty). You can find out more in the welcome email at the beginning of the semester.
